Knowledge is power—and the Element™ CHIRP sonar/GPS series from Raymarine gives you the power to make smarter decisions on the water.

Built for anglers that want to be one step ahead of the game, Element delivers the sharpest view of the underwater world with HyperVision™ 1.2 megahertz super high-resolution sonar technology. HyperVision technology takes DownVision, SideVision, and Raymarine RealVison 3D sonar to the next level of precision imaging and fish identification, letting you see structures, vegetation, and fish with photo-like clarity. And the power of Element doesn't stop there—an onboard quad-core processor delivers instantaneous chart redraw, fast response, and smooth RealVision 3D imaging. To keep you on target, Element features simple keypad controls and an angler-centric LightHouse Sport operating system so you can focus on the fish—not the helm. An oversized waypoint key puts you on your favorite spots, and Element's RealBathy™ personal depth map generator lets you make your own high definition bathymetric maps on the fly.

Features:

  • 1.2 megahertz HyperVision sonar provides outstanding resolution up to 100' while 350kHz Down and SideVision delivers photo-like imaginup up to 600'
  • Built-in RealVision 3D sonar gives you the power to accurately identify the location of ledges, channel beds, and other contour changes
  • Fast quad-core processor allows instantaneous chart re-draw and continuous 3D rending while running a simple, easy-to-learn user interface.
  • Includes Navionics+ charts with coverage of coastal USA and Canada and over 20,000 inland ponds, rivers and lakes

Great Feature Set for the $$

I had a chance to really hammer on this product out in Sarasota Florida. The Hypervision is a really cool & useful feature, as well as being very easy to interpret. It also has a super fast processor, which helps when the chart has to redraw. The operating system is pretty easy to learn, but it is a...

Raymarine Element 7HV

I would give the Element 7HV a 3.5 rating so far - after about 1/2 a dozen uses so far. The unit's speed and responsiveness when switching screens is excellent, as advertised. The function of the hypervision, sidevision, and downvision has been quite good. However the standard CHIRP function h...

After I purchased the Element 9, it stopped working in 3 months. It took 6 months to receive a replacement. I'm under the impression that Raymarine has no desire to have an awesome product. Well, here are 6 ideas yo improve the Element. 1. Mirroring 2. Sonar - DownVision overlay 3. Single screen dashboard 4. Indexed color (CLUT) 5. Shadow/highlight adjustment 6. Improved contrast

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I have used my Element 9 HV at inland lakes and rivers east coast to the Mtn West since the fall of 2020. Water depths upwards of 300 feet, no problem. The Element works as advertised. I run another companies MFD that fills the Element's limitations. I am a very happy customer and would purchase again.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
