Very good spark plugs
I've used NGK plugs often in the past and have never been disappointed. I recently replaced the old plugs in my Mercury outboard, and was stunned at the difference new NGK plugs made versus just cleaning and re-gapping the old ones (not NGK, came with the motor). The motor starts faster, and idles...

I think it would be beneficial if there was a computer kiosk that could help you find the product you need for the vessel, engine you...

My local store carries a small amount of boat spark plugs. Ordering them online for store pickup is always the safe bet. They contact you when it is available for pickup. I did try to use an online discount code for this purchase, but the coupon was denied???

The gentleman at the store was extremely helpful and patient. He was willing to look it up in the store search through a couple of the boxes They have to just make sure if it was right and lead me in the right direction.

My 1998 40 HP, 2-stroke Mercury Mariner outboard has often had issues with stalling, starting up in the spring after being winterized, etc. I checked the spark plugs today and found that the plugs are surface gap plugs NGK BUZ8H. But in the maintenance manuals I have found online for the 1998 40 HP 2-stroke it recommends an NGK BP8H-N-10, which is a more traditional looking plug (with j-shape and a gap). Should I try the NGK BP8H-N-10 to see if they help with the performance problems?
