NGK spark plugs are designed for a long service life and maximum performance.

Each NGK plug features high alumina ceramics for better heat transfer and electrical insulation. Patented triple gasket sealing process eliminates the possibility of combustion gas leakage. The solid copper core increases heat and spark transfer while the longer insulator nose prevents fouling and misfiring.

Key Features

  • They are resistant to carbon buildup and pre-ignition
  • Longer insulator nose prevents fouling and misfiring
  • Solid copper core aids in heat removal
  • Alumina ceramics for better heat transfer
  • Triple seals prevent leakage
  • Corrugated ribs prevent flashover

Plug Selection

To ensure optimum performance please consult your owner's manual to determine the correct spark plug for your engine.

Very good spark plugs

I've used NGK plugs often in the past and have never been disappointed. I recently replaced the old plugs in my Mercury outboard, and was stunned at the difference new NGK plugs made versus just cleaning and re-gapping the old ones (not NGK, came with the motor). The motor starts faster, and idles...

you had the product I needed and at a fair price.

I used the internet and the catalog on hand to find the product I needed, the clerk was able to direct me to the catalog, he was of no help as far as knowing product. I think it would be beneficial if there was a computer kiosk that could help you find the product you need for the vessel, engine you...

My local store carries a small amount of boat spark plugs. Ordering them online for store pickup is always the safe bet. They contact you when it is available for pickup. I did try to use an online discount code for this purchase, but the coupon was denied???

The gentleman at the store was extremely helpful and patient. He was willing to look it up in the store search through a couple of the boxes They have to just make sure if it was right and lead me in the right direction.

Q
My 1998 40 HP, 2-stroke Mercury Mariner outboard has often had issues with stalling, starting up in the spring after being winterized, etc. I checked the spark plugs today and found that the plugs are surface gap plugs NGK BUZ8H. But in the maintenance manuals I have found online for the 1998 40 HP 2-stroke it recommends an NGK BP8H-N-10, which is a more traditional looking plug (with j-shape and a gap). Should I try the NGK BP8H-N-10 to see if they help with the performance problems?
