I am loving my new 7 inch TI w total scan. This was an upgrade for me from a 5 inch unit. It's been a joy to use after an easy set up. I find myself right now spending more time studying the lake I live on with the total scan. Touch screens switch fast from screen to screen. Very happy!

Bought two of these units. One for the Bow and one for the Helm. The Bow Unit--Down Image Unit--kept locking up on power start up. Took it back to my dealer and they replaced the head unit. Haven't really had time to use it on the water but works fine in the garage.(I'm amazed at how hot my garage gets sometimes). I do believe these units are fantastic for their price. And as long as Lowrance will continue to give us little updated enhancements along the way...... I think these units will serve me well for a long time.

Do they make a cable adapter so the Lowrance Elite 7 TI unit can use the downscan skimmer transducer and a sidescan transducer? Do not want to use the Totalscan transducer.

I presently have an HDS-5 with a sonic hub and am thinking about upgrading to an Elite-7 Ti. Other than the mount, will I have to change out any of the electronic connections? A friend thought I could just plug in the new unit without making any other connections.
