Ready to use, great for a 13' RIB

Comments about Commando Anchor Kit by Fortress Anchors | Anchor & Docking at West Marine

This is a great kit. Easy to buy and use as is. I use it to anchor a 13' RIB off of sandy and/or pebbly beaches on pretty calm days. I store it disassembled, and assemble it when I arrive, which is easy enough. Doing "the laundry" with a hose after a day on the water is a chore, and I can't stow it until it's all dry, but it's the right thing to do.

Comments about Commando Anchor Kit by Fortress Anchors | Anchor & Docking at West Marine

First of all, I'm just getting into sailing. The line seems light considering the holding power of anchor but I'm certain it's all been sized correctly. Assembly is a delicate procedure involving small bolts and partially obscured access so it may be best to keep it at least partially assembled for quicker use. but it is difficult to fit into the bag when partially assembled. All this said I'm really looking forward to using this anchor and glad to be rid of my old, heavy one.

Purchased this as a second anchor to use off the stern of my 24'6" CC. Worked well and love the compact design and included storage bag so it can put out away easily when not in use.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Great little anchor in a nice red bag. Everything in one place and organized. For my small 1976 West Wight Potter P-14 sailboat.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
