Aqua Signal Series 40 Navigation Lights are made for powerboats and sailboats up to 65' 7" (20m) in length. The screens are made from brushed stainless steel so they will last longer and won’t corrode due to seawater. With housing built from high-quality polycarbonate, these lights are impact and shock resistant. Optics comes with a Fresnel lensing system and impact and high-quality, impact and shock resistant plastic.

I don't have any doubts about the quality of Aqua Signal Products and I ordered a light from a Clearance Sale. Unfortunately, the product description was misleading and West Marine tried to ship a light which I did not order. Nevertheless, it was relatively easy to cancel the order.

I needed running lights on top of my mast Because I do a lot of offshore sailing and when it's dark I want to make sure I'm seen out there !

If you are going to put a running light on ur sailboat mast, don't put a small one. Put a BIG one, it could save your life.

I bought this as a replacement. West Marine no longer seems to carry it in their stores or in their regular catalog. Had to go to manufacturer's website to decipher which model was the replacement. Only then was I able to find it from West Marine. Sheesh
