Hex Lug & Terminal Crimper

Intended for portable use, this tool creates strong mechanical connections with hexagonal style compression crimps.
Hexagonal style crimps are the most common due to their superior electrical performance and excellent pull-out strength. Ancor's Hex Lug & Terminal Crimper uses revolving dies to create these crimps with wire gauges from 6 to 1/0 AWG. By applying force consistently from all directions over a larger area during crimping, hexagonal crimps prevent damage to the conductors.
The American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) recommends that the tool used to crimp connectors be manufactured by the same brand as the connectors themselves. The reason behind this is that the barrel and insulation thickness varies by connector manufacturer. Therefore having a crimping tool designed for specific connectors ensures a secure and safe crimp.
